Italian media claim Gennaro Gattuso is a candidate to replace Ally McCoist as Glasgow Rangers manager.
McCoist tended his resignation, but is serving a 12-month notice period and could well agree an “amicable solution” later this week to depart early.
According to Tuttomercatoweb, Gattuso is one of the options to take over at the Scottish club.
He has never disguised his fondness for Rangers, having spent time there as a player in 1997-98 and marrying a Scottish woman.

Rangers are in dire financial straits and need to raise £8.3m in January to keep the club going, having already been demoted in 2012.
Ex-Milan and Italy midfielder Gattuso has had a tempestuous coaching career so far, sacked as player-manager by Swiss side FC Sion, fired after six Serie A games at Palermo in 2013 and currently in charge of OFI Crete.
Gattuso had resigned on October 26, citing the financial difficulties of the club as one of his reasons, but changed his mind the next day.
