Gennaro Gattuso has reportedly contacted Mario Balotelli to bring him to Valencia, but the Adana Demirspor striker is already close to FC Sion.
According to Sportitalia transfer pundit Michele Criscitiello, new Valencia coach Gattuso called former Milan forward Balotelli to ask if he would be interested in a move to La Liga.
That had already been hinted at by SuperMario, who last week in an Instagram post published a poll asking his fans if they’d like to see him playing in Spain.
However, the same source suggests that Balotelli is already very close to a move for Swiss side FC Sion instead.
Curiously, FC Sion is also the club where Gattuso himself saw out his career, moving there after leaving Milan in 2012 and acting as player-manager.
Balotelli turns 32 next month and has rediscovered his form in Turkey with Adana Demirspor, where he is under contract until June 2024.
His previous clubs include Inter, Manchester City, Milan, Liverpool, OGC Nice, Brescia, Olympique Marseille and Monza.
He should go to valencia and see if he can get called up to the italian squad
