Fiorentina bound Gennaro Gattuso has already started working to keep Dusan Vlahovic and Franck Ribery at the Artemio Franchi.

Gattuso leaves Napoli and joins Fiorentina in July, when his contract with the Partenopei expires, but La Nazione reports the 43-year-old has already started planning for 2021-22 in Florence.

If Napoli allow him, Gattuso could visit Fiorentina already this week, and one of the first issues to solve is the future of veteran Ribery.

The two, as confirmed by the French forward, have already had the opportunity to talk and the former Bayern Munich winger seems set to stay at the Viola.

President Rocco Commisso also aims to renew with Serbian striker Vlahovic, who scored 21 times in Serie A this term, and will use the arrival of Gattuso as a sign of the club’s ambitions.

The Calabrian coach’s arrival could convince Vlahovic to stay in Florence and sign a new deal with the club.
