Gian Piero Gasperini felt Genoa have “regrets” over their draw against Empoli, but praised M’Baye Niang.
“It’s a shame we didn’t win, as it was perhaps the best Genoa performance of the season,” said the Coach on Sky Sport Italia following a 1-1 result.
“The draw is understandable, but considering our first half performance, there are going to be regrets.”

Milan-owned Niang was on target again for his third goal since arriving on loan in January.
“I hoped he would have this impact. We know his characteristics, so he can grow and improve even more here.
“We’ve liked him for a while, he is a player suited to Genoa. Our club can get the best out of young talents, whereas at Milan he didn’t have much space.”
