“The next two weeks are going to be decisive, every result feels crucial and the pressure is increasing. Every game is important now,” said the coach in his press conference.

“Our fate is in our hands and the best way to avoid looking over our shoulders is to keep pushing forward. It’s time to play and give our absolute best.”

In theory, this is the ideal weekend for Atalanta, because Juventus and Milan go head-to-head, so will take points off each other, while La Dea are against an already-relegated Parma.

“There have been many cases in the past of teams who are already relegated and still creating problems for those who still need results. We must have the utmost respect for Parma and fight for the result we want.

“Parma won’t be lacking in motivation and if anything it can create more risks, because they will be free of pressure. They have a lot of quality in the squad and some of them used to play for us, like Andrea Conti, Alberto Grassi and Jasmin Kurtic. We’re disappointed their season has gone like this, but they will be able to get back on their feet.”
