Gian Piero Gasperini says enthusiasm surrounding Atalanta’s recent form is normal, but wants his players to remain focused.
La Dea have won five of their last six League matches to lie in sixth place in Serie A, meaning they are currently right in the mix for European football next season.
“Outside it is right and normal that there is enthusiasm,” Gasperini admitted at a Press conference. “But we need to be more balanced and conscious of the difficulties of this League.”

The experienced Coach then discussed Atalanta’s next opponents, Sassuolo, and warned his players to expect a tough test.
“I am expecting a very difficult match. Sassuolo have done very well in recent years.
“It’s true they have a lot of players out, especially in midfield, but the starting XI they will put out will be competitive.
“We have put on certain performances and we need to be good enough to repeat them. This will be an important match in that respect.
“We also have some absentees in defence, but we did well against Genoa and I am convinced that whoever plays will know how to overcome the absences.”
