Coach Gian Piero Gasperini admits Atalanta ‘seemed tired’ as they played their ‘worst first half’ against Parma, but was happy with the comeback and looks forward a ‘decisive game’ against Inter.

Dejan Kulusevski scored the opener when Gasperini’s men struggled to find their rhythm in the 2-1 win against the Gialloblu at the Ennio Tardini.

“We won the match in the second half. It was a reserved and difficult match,” he told Atalanta’s official website. “Perhaps it was our worst first half.

“We seemed tired, didn’t have the usual spirit. But we reacted well and played an excellent second half.”

Ruslan Malinovskyi and Papu Gomez turned the game and Gasperini felt the duo showed the ‘resources’ available at the Orobici.

“We have the resources here. It was clear that the team was different from the first half,” he added. “Confidence grows when you play like this.

“We could have scored on several occasions. When the team relaxes, we manage to create more.”

Atalanta set a new record with 11 away wins in a single season.

“It’s a team that deserves to have records of their own. We hope that they will be beaten again in the future because it would mean we are even stronger.”

La Dea conclude against Inter and could leapfrog their rivals into second with a win at the Gewiss Stadium.

“It’s a decisive game, we are all very close. We will play at the same time and you can go from fourth to second in a heartbeat.

“The numbers say this Atalanta are great. That’s why we would like to end it with another record. It would be the crowning achievement of a strange year.

“There has been an incredible interruption and the biggest regret is that we couldn’t share this unique season with our fans.
