Atalanta coach Gian Piero Gasperini says he will ‘take one game at a time’ and hopes to see the ‘best’ Orobici against Spezia on Saturday.
Despite the important game against Liverpool on Wednesday, Gasperini stressed he will have most of his men available and therefore can focus on each game as they come, starting with Spezia on Saturday.
Ruslan Malinovskyi tested positive for coronavirus whilst on international duty and confirmed Mattia Caldara is out injured, but the rest should be fine for the game against Spezia.

“We take one game at a time, there are no programmes,” Gasperini said at a press conference.
“You can plan a little more if you have to recover some injuries. At the moment we have everyone available except Mattia Caldara and Malinovskyi, so we take one game at a time.”

“The transition is gone, you play every game to the best of your ability,” Gasperini said. “The transition is used after the break to know the newcomers.
“There won’t be any national breaks until the end of March, we will have many matches until December 23.
“Each match becomes important to give our path meaning, it must be like the first day of the season.”
But the national break has created some problems for Gasperini, as he has been given little time to work with his players since the match against Inter.
“There are eight players I see today and who are training for the first time since the match against Inter, this is undoubtedly a problem.
“Not only for us, but also for other teams. We have to get over everything. It’s not a good situation and the break is difficult to understand, like these interruptions and the friendly matches.”
Gasperini said the team have to ‘adapt’ to the new life with European football but doesn’t want it to affect their performances in Serie A.
“It will be games with different levels of difficulty, but they are all dangerous,” Gasperini said. “The League is difficult. We understand that there’s great balance.
“Liverpool and the Champions League have a heavy load because you have to play every week, but that’s the way it is, and we must adapt.
“The important thing is to see the best Atalanta against Spezia. They are well organised and have great enthusiasm, so far they have collected a good haul of points.”
