"Kessie and Caldara? They are certainly ready to make the leap, but I would gladly keep them for a further year," the Coach told Tuttosport. "They are much more ready than others I've seen in some big teams.
“It will be up to the President to decide. I understand the economic aspect, but there is no football without fans of the team and the city.
"With [Atalanta President] Precioso, problems have occurred between us when we have been put in the middle of a situation by someone else.
"Yes, I was close to going to Torino. There was harmony between [Urbano] Cairo and [Gianluca] Petrachi and it was a challenge that I would have liked to have taken on.
"Perhaps I was a Juve fan in a previous life and that was the biggest sticking point."
