“These are games we need to evaluate progress, aside from the result,” insisted Coach Gasperini.
“It is normal that at this stage of pre-season we don’t have the right speed of execution. We are looking for different situations.
“I must admit in terms of growth we are further behind than I expected. This will be a different season. We have to press the reset button and get to know each other better.
“I am working to create a Genoa with as much quality as possible. There is time to improve.”
