Rudi Garcia reveals Roma will bring in a striker before the deadline, but insists he’s focused on tomorrow’s Empoli match.

The Giallorossi have been linked with the likes of Seydou Doumbia, Yehven Konoplyanka and Luiz Adriano after Mattia Destro left to join Milan, but the tactician wouldn’t be drawn on those rumours.

“We know from now until the transfer window closes there will be a lot of talk about this kind of thing,” Garcia acknowledged in his pre-match Press conference.

“The players know this, we’re 100 per cent focused on the game tomorrow and not on other things. People who aren't here can't play. We’re focused on what we can do and we want to take all three points.

“I’m confident in the squad we have for tomorrow.

“Destro? That’s the way the market works. It’s not just the club which does things as it decides, there’s the player too, and the other clubs.

“I want to take this opportunity to say, that I haven’t changed my opinion on Destro, he wanted to play more, so it was normal that we let him go.

“As long someone is a Roma player, you defend them, you never know if there’s a possibility they’ll leave.

“After that it’s easy to say that we decided together.

“We know that, before Tuesday, we’ll get a replacement, a central striker.

“Who? If I told you that I wouldn’t have a job.”
