Rudi Garcia insists Roma’s current position in the table is “not a problem” as they prepare to face Carpi.

The Giallorossi have failed to win in either of their last two games, despite starting the season as one of the Scudetto favourites.

“My only concern is preparing well for tomorrow’s game,” Garcia shrugged in his pre-match Press conference.

“We have to repeat the way we played on Wednesday, but be more effective in front of goal, and cut out the little mistakes which have cost us.

“The table is not a problem in Week 6, but if you lose too much ground it can become one. We have a chance to get past this spell, we have to make sure to start a run like we did against Juventus at home.”

The Lupi struggled to score goals last season, bringing in Edin Dzeko from Manchester City in an effort to remedy that situation.

However, the Bosnian has scored just once in six games between Serie A and the Champions League, though the Coach is not overly concerned.

“He’s calm, he’s an expert. He knows that he just has to continue doing his best and the goals will return. We also work in training, though it’s complicated when you’re playing every three days.

“Even this morning we were working on cohesion, we have to learn to play with Edin, and Edin has to learn to play with his teammates.

“For now, I’m not worried about scoring, I’m worried about not conceding. You can win 1-0. We’ve always scored, but we’ve also always conceded, apart from against Frosinone.

“We need to improve the attitude of the team, and not give space to our opponents. It’s ultimately down to the defenders and the attackers.”
