Rudi Garcia continued criticising Lazio Coach Edy Reja and felt Roma “did everything to win” the Derby.

“We took the initiative and kept possession, but to win games you need to be better in the final and penultimate passes,” the tactician told Sky Sport Italia after a 0-0 draw.

“This is what we lacked. It is an ‘away’ point and we have learned that it’s not enough just to attack, as you must also be more determined in front of goal.

“An example was the Miralem Pjanic opportunity, as if he played it first time then he probably would’ve scored.”

Garcia was asked whether Roma were distracted by the Coppa Italia semi-final, having beaten Napoli 3-2 in the first leg and set to play the second on Wednesday.

“In fitness terms I thought the team was in good shape and played with energy. We didn’t make very good choices in front of goal, as when it came time to pass it they shot and vice versa.

“Michel Bastos played with enthusiasm, he slowly settled in and had some chances later. Pjanic had the best opportunities of the game, as he is an attacking midfielder.”

Roma’s distance from leaders Juventus” data-scaytid=”12″>Juventus remains the same, as Juventus were also held to a 2-2 draw by Verona, but Napoli and Fiorentina” data-scaytid=”14″>Fiorentina close up.

“This draw can only be considered a good result in the table. We did everything possible to win it, but at times the team that dominates makes mistakes when finishing.

“We must be careful though when reading the table not to automatically add three points, as we still have to play Parma.”

Roma have a game in hand, as their tie with Parma was rained off after 11 minutes and will be finished on April 2 or 9.

Garcia blasted Lazio boss Reja for setting a bad example when joking he hoped some Roma players would get injured before the big game. Did they clear the air?

“I said what I think. That is all. There’s nothing more to say.”
