“It depends,” Garcia mused when asked if their defensive weakness could cost his side the Scudetto.
“If we score more, we could be higher up even if we concede more than the others. If you don’t concede a goal, then scoring one is enough to win.

“But if we don’t play to attack then we’re no longer Roma. Just look at the game against Chievo [3-3], if we’d conceded less we’d have more chance of winning.
“Late goals? For me, we’ve conceded 8 goals in the last 15 minutes [not counting the one against Torino].
“We’ve thought about it. For me, the causes have never been the same, it’s individual errors, never the same players. Sometimes it haunts us for the next game, and that lowers our levels too.
“I think all it takes is a click, a game where we’re ahead but under pressure and if we can win that game it’ll be a different story.”
Juan Manuel Iturbe has left the club to join Bournemouth, is the priority on the transfer market to replace him, or to bolster the defence?
“Of course you know, but I’ll say it again: [sporting director] Walter [Sabatini] is working for the good of Roma as always.
“The only thing that’s sure is that Manuel is gone and will be replaced. It’s not a priority, the priority is the game tomorrow.”
