Rudi Garcia confirmed Roma are tracking Adrien Rabiot, but do not “already have a deal” with the PSG player.
The midfielder is widely expected to leave in January, as his contract with Paris Saint-Germain expires in June 2015 and he has refused a renewal.
“Rabiot is one of the players we are tracking, but it’s not true to say we already have a deal with the PSG player,” Garcia told Canal+ in France.
The news will be of reassurance to Arsenal and Chelsea, who are also known to be interested in the 19-year-old.
It had been reported Roma had an agreement with Rabiot's family, but not the club.
