“Today we had nothing to gain apart from three points and everything to lose, so this game was a dangerous trap,” the Coach told Mediaset Premium.

Iago Falque and a last-gasp Juan Manuel Iturbe counter-attack secured the 2-0 result at the Matusa.

“Today we had nothing to gain apart from three points and everything to lose, so this game was a dangerous trap,” the Coach told Mediaset Premium.

“The lads did well and gave everything. I compliment Frosinone, who played with their hearts, as they caused us a lot of problems, even if I don’t recall any real chances for them.

“The second goal arrived late, but at least it arrived. We went too deep in the second half and have to improve, but the change of system gave the team more confidence.”

Roma now face Barcelona in the Champions League on Wednesday night and has many alternatives to choose from.

“I rested Radja Nainggolan, but I have a large squad and no specific first choice XI. I have faith in everyone and Iturbe’s a great example of that.

“I want my players to all think about the team and they will have their space to shine.”
