Roma Coach Rudi Garcia appears to have conceded the Scudetto race, saying his primary objective is the Champions League.

The Giallorossi are in second place, but will fall 11 points behind tonight if Juventus beat Sassuolo, while Sampdoria, Fiorentina, Lazio and Napoli are closing in behind them.

The French Coach had previously declared his side would win the title, but after a series of draws, the former Lille man appears to have conceded defeat.

The French Coach had previously declared his side would win the title, but after a series of draws, the former Lille man appears to have conceded defeat.

“The main objective is the Champions League,” Garcia admitted in an interview with Sky at the Panchina d’Oro awards.

"We're second, and we want to stay there, but to do so we need to do better than yesterday [a draw with Chievo].

"I expect more, both from individuals and the squad, because I know what each player is capable of.

“The club and staff are united. It’s important to make clear to the team that we must do better, and we have an opportunity to do that now.

“In three days we go to Florence for the Europa League.

“[Yesterday] I was disappointed, but I woke up today motivated and charged. We must work to play a great game on Thursday.

"I've always said that I'm fine at Roma, I want to get to the new stadium."
