“The lads proved they are united. They showed character in a difficult arena, especially at this moment where other teams of a high level either didn’t win or lost,” Garcia told Sky Sport Italia.

“The lads proved they are united. They showed character in a difficult arena, especially at this moment where other teams of a high level either didn’t win or lost,” Garcia told Sky Sport Italia.
“The team was solid and focused. I think it’s also a good sign that our captain this evening De Rossi scored the goal.
“The players have always stuck together and they felt collective joy for Daniele. He wanted to share his joy with everyone on the bench and they all ran out to embrace him.”
Seydou Doumbia was a surprise starter along with Salih Ucan at the Stadio Manuzzi.
“I am happy with Doumbia’s performance, his first real one. He worked hard and always thought about the collective, which is wonderful.
“We had many more scoring opportunities in recent games than tonight. We knew Cesena would play long ball for Milan Djuric and the ball bounces strangely on this synthetic turf, so it was difficult.
“As soon as it was possible, we tried to play the ball to feet and in that sense Salih Ucan has great technique. It was a reward for all the hard work he’s been doing over the last month after his injury.”
Is Garcia still enjoying the high-pressure environment of working at Roma?
“I feel comfortable talking about football. As I told them this week, we are all together – the club, players, Coach and fans – who can turn this into a good season.
“We have to take it one game at a time and we will do until the end of the season. There’s no point looking ahead or making calculations. We are focused only on three points each week.”
