The 32-year-old is seen as in continued talks with both the Brazilian club and future MLS franchise Orlando City, over a two-move transfer this summer out of San Siro.

Whilst doubts are raised over the completion of this deal, amid Sao Paulo’s reported reluctance to take on too much of his wage payments, one of their current stars is licking his lips at the prospect of playing alongside Kaka.

“If he was to come here then it would be great for the whole environment,” Ganso has told Globoesporte this week.

“Together we can make a difference and return Sao Paulo to the top.”
