The latest reports regarding Paulo Henrique Ganso's prospective transfer to Milan claim that the Santos starlet could arrive in January 2012.
Representatives from Sonda, the investment fund, which holds a 45 per cent stake in Ganso, met Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani on Wednesday.
Santos director of sport Pedro Luis Nunes Conceicao later warned Milan that they must first talk to the club, not Sonda, before entering negotiations to sign Ganso.
Galliani plans to fly to Brazil once Milan have tied up the Scudetto, but Wednesday's meeting with Sonda was primarily to draw up a strategy of dealing with Santos.
One hypothesis put forward foresees Sonda buying Santos' 45 per cent stake in Ganso for €25m and then selling the player on to Milan in January 2012.
This would get around the €50m buy-out clause inserted into Ganso's contract by Santos, which they are refusing to lower.
Milan are also keen to wait until January for Ganso so his signing doesn't appear on this year's set of accounts.
