The former Milan chief left his role as CEO of Roma earlier this month and had been expected to make a return to San Siro, but is currently without a role.
“I had two wonderful years at Roma and the prospects were very good,” Gandini told Radio Sportiva.

“I had two wonderful years at Roma and the prospects were very good,” Gandini told Radio Sportiva.
“We had grown a great deal and, capitalising on the Champions League, we created a competitive squad. However, by the end I was essentially living a separate existence from the rest of the club, so we decided it was better to just go our own ways.”
The new Federation is taking form with Gabriele Gravina the only candidate so far for President, but could Gandini take on a role within the FIGC?
“At this moment, I’d like to take time and consider the last 25 years so I can refresh my ideas. Having said that, I’m one of the few Italian directors with knowledge of international football and would be happy to make myself of use.”
