PSG coach Christophe Galtier has effectively announced the arrival of Milan target Renato Sanches from LOSC. ‘This was an opportunity and we took it.’

The midfielder has been in this tug-of-war for several weeks, and despite suggestions over the last few days that the Rossoneri were back in the running, Galtier seems to have slammed the door on those hopes.

“Renato Sanches is a player who has qualities that the others don’t have, especially if you compare him to Marco Verratti and Vitinha,” said Galtier in his press conference.

“He is a different type of player, he could be compared to Danilo. He is very explosive, pushes forward, has a real impact.

“We saw this opportunity on the transfer market to take a player that we know well, who is an international and who knows Ligue 1, so when faced with that opportunity, we took it.”

While Milan had offered more to LOSC, Renato Sanches ultimately preferred Paris Saint-Germain and held out for them to make a deal.
