Christophe Galtier says Leandro Paredes has an agreement with Juventus so, contrary to Napoli target Keylor Navas, he is not part of the squad for the match against Toulouse, while Fabian Ruiz is ‘close’ to PSG.

Fabian is on the verge of joining the Ligue 1 giants on a permanent €23m deal from Napoli. He had refused to extend his expiring contract with the Partenopei, being frozen out of the squad.

“Some information is coming about the arrival of certain players. Fabian Ruiz is very close to joining PSG. It would have been better to have players coming in, helping them settle in as quickly as possible,” Galtier said at a press conference.

“We have known for a long time which position we wanted to strengthen based on certain departures. We have been following Fabian Ruiz for a long time, but nothing is official yet, he is still a Napoli player. We’ve seen many transfers in history that were almost done and then didn’t happen for whatever reason.”

Fabian to PSG will pave the way for Paredes’ move to Juventus. The Old Lady is finalising deals to loan out Arthur, Nicolò Rovella and Fagioli to make room for the Argentinean midfielder.

Paredes, a former Empoli and Roma player, hasn’t been called up for tomorrow’s game away at Toulouse.

“Leandro won’t be part of the squad. I spoke to Leandro after training, we know he has an agreement with Juventus who we’ll be facing very soon,” said Galtier.

“He is a PSG player, but his head is elsewhere. I think we just need to sort out the agreement between the two clubs. I made the decision not to include him in the squad so that he could get ready to leave.”

Juventus and PSG will meet in Paris next week in their Champions League group stage opener. The Ligue 1 giants will likely keep hold of Keylor Navas who would have joined Napoli if he had received a payout from his club.

“Navas is a PSG goalkeeper, at the moment is under contract and will be in the squad tomorrow,” confirmed the PSG coach.
