Daniele Galloppa said Parma “aren’t holding any hope” President Giampietro Manenti can save the club.

Parma’s debts are believed to be in the region of €197m right now and President Manenti is refusing to hand the books over to tribunals for controlled administration.

If he did, the club could be ‘saved’ and allowed to begin again from Serie B next season rather than the amateur League.

Instead, Manenti is waiting until the March 19 bankruptcy hearing and insists he can find the money to resolve the situation.

In a disconcerting video, Sky Sport Italia visited Nova Gorica in Slovenia to find Manenti’s company, Mapi Group.

They found only a house in an industrial area with no apparent business attached to it.

“He arrived after everything that happened, so we clutched to him as the only hope. He made promises upon promises, millions upon millions, and nothing happened,” said Galloppa.

“He’s still the President right now, but we really don’t hold out much hope he’s going to do anything.”

The previous owner, Albanian businessman Rezart Taci, wasn’t any more reliable and he sold the club for €1 to Manenti just over month after taking it from Tommaso Ghirardi.

“I only ever saw Taci on TV,” explained Massimo Gobbi.

“He was never here at Collecchio, we never spoke to him. There were these rumours Taci was at the head of a group of investors, but Emir Kodra was the only one who turned up here as President.

“I was told Taci’s sister was here one day, but I never saw her. Kodra was here almost every day and spoke to the team, but we never saw Taci.”
