The Ducali owe their playing staff wages dating back six months, in a situation that this week prompted the early exit of Antonio Cassano and subsequent rumours linking several others with the door.

This evening one of the team’s more experienced number has issued a warning to the club to show something positive.

“So far the club has only been feeding us words,” Galloppa has explained to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“Now we demand the facts.”

February 16 is seen as the next deadline the club must meet for salaries owed.

“After that date we'll have to take care of ourselves. We can't do otherwise.

“We've been more than honest in warning the President. Our intention is to act as a group after next month's deadline.”

Coach Roberto Donadoni slammed Cassano's decision to rescind his contract as a ‘cowardly’ act, but Galloppa's point of view was much more sympathetic.

“Antonio took a strong decision, he no longer felt motivated. But against Juventus we showed our dignity.

“In any case I respect Antonio's decision because he was honest with himself.”
