“Destro and Pazzini are two centre-forwards and the Coach decides,” Galliani told Sky Sport Italia.
“Whether one or the other starts, I’d say that is fairly normal. We always want a victory and hope to achieve it by playing good football too.
“We’ve had so many injuries, 11 tonight, and are trying to work out what happened since January to cause this situation.”
Meanwhile, Galliani was asked about reports in La Repubblica this morning that Silvio Berlusconi agreed to sell 25 per cent of Milan to Thai investor Taechaubol for €250m.
“According to the rules of global finance, talking about these things is down to the owners. Milan are not owned by Milan, we are owned by Silvio Berlusconi and Fininvest.
“Any type of comment is to be made by Fininvest, it is not my place to do so.”
Tellingly, today the Fininvest statement was not a denial either, it simply said they do not wish to “comment on rumours.”
