Adriano Galliani confirmed Robinho will either join Santos by July 20 or remain, denied a bid for Andrea Ranocchia and met for Adem Ljajic “this morning.”
The Milan Vice-President spoke briefly to journalists this afternoon during a sponsorship event for the club.
He was asked about Robinho and the news Brazil have extended their transfer deadline for overseas players to July 20 rather than July 15.
“The Brazilian market closes on July 15, so by that date either Robinho will go or he is staying. The negotiations are continuing without any substantial developments,” said Galliani.
If Robinho is sold for approximately €7m, then the Rossoneri intend to reinvest by signing Ljajic from Fiorentina.
Talks between the two clubs for the Serbian international have already been confirmed.
“Ljajic? I met with (Fiorentina director Daniele) Pradè this morning.”
However, Galliani said he could “categorically deny” reports of Milan’s interest in Inter defender Ranocchia.
He also brushed off claims Mario Balotelli wanted to take the Number 9 jersey, which was last worn by Pippo Inzaghi.
“We’ll keep the 9 there in a drawer, like a family heirloom.”
