Galliani: ‘No Balotelli talks’

Milan CEO Adriano Galliani reveals “there is no meeting scheduled with Liverpool” for Mario Balotelli.

The striker is on loan with the Rossoneri, with no pre-agreed clause to take him to San Siro permanently.

Balotelli has been told to prove he deserves a permanent deal between now and the end of the season, and nothing will be decided before then.

“We’ve never talked with Liverpool,” Galliani told Premium Sport ahead of the Verona game.

Balotelli has been told to prove he deserves a permanent deal between now and the end of the season, and nothing will be decided before then.

“We’ve never talked with Liverpool,” Galliani told Premium Sport ahead of the Verona game.

“Leave us to finish the season. From May 22 onward we’ll talk about the transfer market. There is no meeting scheduled with Liverpool.

“Mario has yet to win his chance to stay, he needs to do very well in the next four games.

“Now we have to defend this sixth-place to make sure we qualify for the Europa League, potentially improving our position by winning the Coppa Italia.

“Going directly into the Group Stage would mean a lot, that we could start playing in Europe in mid-September, do the American tour and so on.

“We have to put some distance between ourselves and Sassuolo, as they’re only a point behind.”

Juventus wrapped up a fifth-consecutive Scudetto this afternoon, but Galliani won’t discuss the Bianconeri ahead of the Coppa Italia final.

“Like Max [Allegri, Juventus Coach] I’m superstitious, we won’t talk about Juventus.

“We could meet Juventus twice more, in the Coppa Italia final and in the Supercoppa.”
