Former Milan CEO Adriano Galliani maintains the club has “come back into the hands of Milanisti,” which was not the case under Yonghong Li.
Silvio Berlusconi controlled the club for 31 years with Galliani as his right-hand man, but sold it to Chinese investor Yonghong Li in April 2017.
When he defaulted on a loan used to buy the club, it was essentially repossessed by US hedge fund Elliott Management.

“Milan have great owners like Elliott, a great President in Paolo Scaroni, a great general manager in Ivan Gazidis, two great directors like Leonardo and Paolo Maldini and also a great Coach like Gennaro Gattuso,” Galliani told Sky Sport Italia.
“Milan have finally come back into the hands of Milanisti, which during the period between Berlusconi and Elliott was not the case. I continue to follow Milan as a Coach and still suffer for the Rossoneri.
“Milan are run in a perfect way now. We can only cheer them on.”
