The €30m-rated midfielder is the subject of a bidding war between Milan and Inter, whose directors are both in Monte Carlo this evening for negotiations.

“I won’t leave Monte Carlo,” Galliani told Sky Sport Italia tonight after a meeting with Monaco officials.

“I am neither optimistic nor pessimistic. I've been doing negotiations for too many years to say one way or the other.

"I can say Juventus are in the running too. With us and Inter it's practically a Trofeo TIM in Monte Carlo.”

However, Bianconeri sources suggest they are not in talks for the 22-year-old and that it was just Galliani's joke about the traditional pre-season tournament.

Kondogbia is also of interest to Arsenal and Tottenham.

Meanwhile, Sport Italia reports that Inter have agreed a €19m deal with Olympique Marseille for Giannelli Imbula.

If Kondogbia should slip away, director Piero Ausilio will continue his journey to Marseille.
