Their striker Andrea Pinamonti is one of their targets to strengthen the attack, but Monza are also interested in Real Madrid loanee Borja Mayoral and Galliani is believed to have already spoken with Real Madrid.

The 77-year-old joked with reporters before his meeting with the Nerazzurri today. “I am just here for a coffee, as a Milanista, they don’t let me in,” he said, smiling.

Monza have been promoted to Serie A for the first time in history and announced the signing of former Inter captain Andrea Ranocchia earlier this week.
