Former Milan CEO Adriano Galliani applauded Napoli coach Gennaro Gattuso after the Coppa Italia triumph: “I celebrated almost like in Manchester.”

The Monza director was happy to have seen his former player pick up his first trophy in Italian football after Napoli beat Juventus on penalties to lift the Coppa Italia last night.

“Congratulations to Gattuso,” Galliani told Radio Kiss Kiss. “I’m happy for him.

“Last night, during the penalty shootout, I celebrated almost like I did in Manchester.”

Former midfielder Gattuso helped Milan lift the Champions League in 2002-03 at Old Trafford, when the Rossoneri beat Juventus 3-2 on penalties.
