The Rossoneri are back in the race for a top six finish after beating Cagliari and Palermo.

“We won two games, hope to get more, and our season has been indelibly linked to the number of injuries. In January there was a disaster and the results didn’t arrive any more.

“Now the players are gradually getting back to fitness and the results are improving too.”

This is the first time all season that Pippo Inzaghi has picked the same starting XI for two games in a row.

“We were unable to put the same line-up out not because of Inzaghi’s capriciousness, but simply because he had no other options.

“At times we’ve had 14 different players out of action, so the Coach really can’t be blamed for having to use some out of position. He had to scrape 11 together.”

Galliani was also asked about the many players whose contracts and loans are set to expire.

“We’ll see if we are going to be in Europe next season or not, as that will make a big difference to the size of the squad we require. Our players know this full well and there isn’t a problem.”
