Adriano Galliani has denied reports that Milan have agreed to sign Roma centre-back Philippe Mexes on a free transfer at the end of the season.

Earlier today L'Equipe claimed that a deal had already been struck between Milan and the player, whose existing contract is due to expire in June.

Asked to comment on the report, Galliani said: "No, there is no deal between Milan and the Roma defender.

"Milan don't want to disturb either the player or Roma who are a friendly club.

"If the player decides not to stay at Roma then Milan might be interested as might many other top clubs," he concluded.
