El Shaarawy has caught the attention during the first half of the season with his form for the Rossoneri, but according to Vice-President Galliani, will not be offered as bait to Manchester City, in exchange for Mario Balotelli.

“I swear, I swear, I swear that El Shaarway will stay with Milan,” commented Galliani to reporters at a charity event late last night.

“We will keep him and make up for the absence of De Jong with those we have in the squad.”

This is in direct contradiction to President Silvio Berlusconi’s earlier assertion that the club will be moving in the January market to replace the former City midfielder.

The suggestion of a move for Roma’s Daniele De Rossi was one put to Galliani.

“De Rossi and Sissoko? No, let’s stay the way we are. De Rossi is impossible.

“Berlusconi will absolutely be at Milanello on Saturday [ahead of the team’s next game].
