Adriano Galliani has asked Milan fans for ‘patience’ as he ponders reinforcing the squad in January, and looks ahead to the Roma game.

The joint-CEO of the Rossoneri has been speaking to Milan Channel today on the 115th anniversary of the club’s founding, and evaluated the Diavolo’s options in the January window.

“I spend more than half my day on the phone talking to players,” Galliani insisted.

“It’s not currently possible to predict departures or arrivals, but if you’d asked me at 6pm on September 2 if we’d get [Giacomo] Bonaventura I’d have said no.

“We have a big squad for a team which hasn’t played in the Cup yet, but you never know what could happen.

“For example, [Keisuke] Honda will go away for the Asian Cup soon, and if Japan gets to the end we won’t have him throughout January, an important month in which there are also two Coppa Italia games.

“Something could happen, or it could not, we’ll see what happens.

“We get a lot of offers, and we’re also offered a lot of interesting players, but we have a lot of players. It takes patience.”

The 70-year-old also looked ahead to Saturday’s clash with Roma, and admits the Rossoneri are struggling in defence.

“We have a lot of players injured or suspended.

“We’ll be missing an entire defence, since we won’t have [Ignazio] Abate, Alex, [Adil] Rami and [Mattia] De Sciglio.

“I’m happy with the win against Napoli, we saw a good Milan. We’ve only conceded one goal in our last three games and we hope to do well at Roma.

“There’s a nice atmosphere at Milanello at the moment, we’ll see how things go. I don’t like to make predictions.”
