On from Sky Sports Italia's report that Coach Sinisa Mihajlovic already approved the loan transfer and left the decision in the hands of the club, the news outlet managed to intercept Galliani.

“As [Italian song-writer Antonello] Venditti says, certain loves never die,” he said, in response to a question about Balotelli.

“They draw enormous circles and then they come back. President [Silvio] Berlusconi and I are two romantics.”

Fans will recall Galliani used exactly the same quote just before Ricky Kaka and Andriy Shevchenko made their comebacks.
