Turkish Super Lig giants Galatasaray are hoping to have a deal wrapped up for Roma winger Nicola Zalewski by the end of the day on Wednesday, after meeting with the player and his representatives in the Italian capital earlier this week.
Galatasaray waiting on Zalewski decision
Though a deal has not yet been officially completed, Galatasaray expect all parties to have made a decision either way by the end of Wednesday night.
The transfer window in Turkey remains open until Friday night, so clubs across Europe are still able to sell players even if they are no longer able to make any further purchases themselves.
Reports earlier in the week suggested that Roma and Galatasaray have been discussing a deal for Zalewski at a price in the region of €10m. Updates from Gianluca Di Marzio suggest the proposed fee is a touch lower at €9m.
As he was an academy graduate, selling Zalewski would count as pure profit for Roma.
The 22-year-old had been involved in discussions between Roma and Napoli earlier in the summer, as part of a potential player exchange involving Cyril Ngonge, but that move did not materialise in the end.
