Galatasaray have postponed their negotiations with Roma for Nicolo Zaniolo following the devastating earthquakes in Turkey, reports detail.

The country was tragically hit by two severe earthquakes on Monday, sadly claiming the lives of thousands and causing millions in damages to buildings and infrastructure. Rescue efforts are currently ongoing, with the hope of saving as many lives as possible.

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Galatasaray have asked Roma to postpone their meeting regarding Zaniolo due to the earthquake and ongoing crisis in Turkey. The two clubs were initially set to call this morning but things have now been pushed back to this evening.

A move is still possible and Zaniolo’s family are expected in Istanbul later today. The 23-year-old has reportedly agreed to a four-year contract worth €3.5m net per season, with a €30m release clause.

The distance between Galatasaray and Roma is now minimal, with the Turkish side offering €22m total and the Giallorossi asking for €24m.
