Galatasaray are on the look-out for a new left-back before the close of the transfer window in Turkey, and are considering a move for EURO 2020 winner and West Ham full-back Emerson Palmieri, according to recent reports.

Galatasaray interested in West Ham’s Emerson

According to updates from Turkish outlet Sabah Sport, Galatasaray are considering making an approach for the reliable West Ham left-back before the close of the transfer window.

Teams in the Turkish Super Lig have until Friday night to make new signings. Their window closes exactly two weeks after the major leagues in Europe, including Serie A, the Premier League, LaLiga and the Bundesliga.

Though teams from the aforementioned divisions are no longer able to buy players themselves, they are still able to sell to leagues where the window remains open.

According to Tuesday’s reports, Emerson is currently valued in the region of €12m.

The 30-year-old played in all but two of West Ham’s Premier League matches last season and has spent seven of the last eight seasons in England, with Chelsea and a season-long loan move to Lyon also on his CV.
