Fiorentina and Chile international midfielder Erick Pulgar could make a last-minute January transfer to Galatasaray or Olympique Marseille.

According to Sky Sport Italia transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, the two clubs have both made approaches for the 28-year-old.

He has fallen down the pecking order at the Stadio Artemio Franchi under coach Vincenzo Italiano, making only eight appearances this season between Serie A and the Coppa Italia.

Pulgar also had a sprained ankle that kept him out of action for six weeks.

His contract runs to June 2023, so a loan with option to buy is possible.

Galatasaray are said to be the favourites, especially as the rapport between Fiorentina and Marseille is poor following their protracted negotiations for Pol Lirola last year.

Pulgar has four goals in 37 senior caps for Chile and is currently in South America on international duty.

Fiorentina signed him from Bologna for €12.3m in the summer of 2019, with the Rossoblu still owed a cut of any future fee.

Sofyan Amrabat had been ready to join Tottenham Hotspur on loan with option to buy for €15m, but that was dropped when Spurs agreed with Juventus for Rodrigo Bentancur instead.
