Nicolò Zaniolo remains an outcast at Roma and there are reports of approaches from Galatasaray and Fenerbahce, but they must match the offer he rejected from Bournemouth.

The Italy international tried to force a January transfer to Milan or Tottenham Hotspur, but both were only ready to take him on loan with an option to buy at the end of the season.

These conditions are unacceptable to Roma, because his contract only runs to June 2024, so they are prepared to release him purely on a permanent transfer, or at most a loan with obligation to buy that has no conditions attached.

The January transfer window is closed for most clubs, but still open in Turkey, so Sky Sport Italia expert Gianluca Di Marzio maintains both Fenerbahce and Galatasaray have made an approach for Zaniolo.

However, the issue remains the same, Roma will not let him go on loan, preferring to leave him in the stands for six months if needs be to make an example out of him.
