Galatasaray Coach Hamza Hamzaoglu confirms Felipe Melo “wants a new challenge, but there’s no deal with Inter.”

The midfielder is desperate to reunite with Roberto Mancini at San Siro and today could be decisive, as the Nerazzurri are in Istanbul for a friendly with Gala.

“I said from the start, Melo is our player,” Hamzaoglu told Milliyet.

“We are satisfied with him and what he has done for us, giving his contribution in the Super Lig and Champions League.

“I said from the start, Melo is our player,” Hamzaoglu told Milliyet.

“We are satisfied with him and what he has done for us, giving his contribution in the Super Lig and Champions League.

“He told me that at this moment he wants a new challenge, something stimulating, but there’s no deal with Inter.

“Melo deserves to be happy, but we’ll wait and see what happens.”

Inter hope to get Melo by offering Yuto Nagatomo in part-exchange.

 

It was reported this weekend that Galatasaray offered Melo plus €3m cash to coax Chile international Gary Medel away from the Nerazzurri.
