Gagliardini out of Inter’s final game with Sampdoria

Roberto Gagliardini is out of Inter’s final game of the season against Sampdoria with a foot injury, while the Blucerchiati are missing some key players too.

It kicks off on Sunday at 17.00 UK time (16.00 GMT).

The Nerazzurri can only win the Scudetto with a victory and if Milan simultaneously lose to Sassuolo, because the Rossoneri have a superior head-to-head record if the two city rivals finish level on points.

Gagliardini is out after sustaining a microfracture to his left foot during this morning’s training session.

He had come off the bench to provide an assist for Lautaro Martinez’s goal in last week’s victory in Cagliari.

Edin Dzeko is again the favourite to start upfront rather than Alexis Sanchez or Joaquin Correa.

As for Sampdoria, they are still without Manolo Gabbiadini, Sebastian Giovinco and Inter-owned Stefano Sensi, but striker Francesco Caputo and defender Andrea Conti also trained separately from their teammates today.

Omar Colley sits out a ban after he was sent off for dissent in the 4-1 win over Fiorentina.
