Arsenal getting Lille defender Gabriel could have a knock-on effect, as Napoli are reportedly rejecting Manchester City’s latest Kalidou Koulibaly offer, with his former agent warning there’s ‘no comparison.’
Multiple sources in France, England and Italy all have the same story, namely that Gabriel Magalhaes will sign for Arsenal in a deal worth €30m.
He will put pen to paper on a five-year contract and it’ll be made official this weekend.

Napoli had a deal in place for Gabriel, but could not complete it because they first had to sell Koulibaly or Nikola Maksimovic.
Those negotiations are taking some time and, with the first choice alternative gone, Napoli are no longer convinced by the need to sell their best defender.
According to Radio Punto Nuovo this evening, President Aurelio De Laurentiis warned he will not let Koulibaly leave unless there is a genuinely irresistible offer on the table.
If Manchester City don’t increase their bid substantially, then the Senegal international won’t be sold.
His former agent, Bruno Satin, believes this will be a good move for all concerned.
“Gabriel had a good season at Lille, he’s very aggressive and concentrated, but in terms of technique and quality, he is and will remain a long way off Koulibaly,” Satin told Radio Sportiva.
“There’s simply no comparison.”
