Milan’s Giorgio Furlani has held extensive talks with Fabio Paratici about his potential appointment as sporting director, but he’s reportedly just the first of several candidates the Rossoneri CEO plans to meet in the coming days.
The former Juventus director has recently emerged as the leading candidate for the role Milan are looking to add to their board, and he was the first person Furlani wanted to consult with as they aim to fill the vacancy in the coming weeks.

Milan open round of sporting director meetings with Furlani-Paratici talks
While Furlani and Paratici discussed the club’s future perspective in a long meeting on Monday, Sky Sport Italia reports that no final decision has been made, as the CEO is expected to speak with other candidates soon.
Among the other names linked with the job are Igli Tare, Bayer Leverkusen’s Kim Falkenberg and Monaco’s Thiago Scuro.

Recent reports also suggested that Paratici shared a private dinner with Massimiliano Allegri, who is one of the profiles that Milan are said to be considering for the coaching role next season, with Sergio Conceicao expected to leave at the end of the current campaign.
I would greatly prefer an experienced Italian profile. I’m not a fan of Allegri’s style of play, but as far as building a squad and starting a new cycle, he doesn’t seem like a bad choice.
Hopefully Napoli beats inter to the scudetto and Conte decides to leave Napoli.
Milan should get ready to play 90 min of the game in their own half under Allegri. There was a reason why Berlu got rid of him and most fans will not find his style of play endearing at all. I would find Gasperini a much more interesting selection provided he is available.
