Il Mattino reports Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis was furious with Davide Massa after a 3-0 loss against Inter and called FIGC and AIA chiefs to complain about the referee’s decisions.

The Partenopei suffered a 3-0 loss at the Stadio Maradona on Sunday but felt affected by the referee’s decisions.

According to Il Mattino, President De Laurentiis was so furious that he called FIGC and AIA chiefs to complain about Massa’s decisions after the game.

The report claims De Laurentiis decided not to send coach Walter Mazzarr in front of the cameras to comment on the game after the final whistle to avoid a potentially lengthy ban for the freshly appointed tactician.

Il Mattino reports Mazzarri was even more frustrated than De Laurentiis and tried to have explanations from Massa and fourth official Antonio Rapuano inside the tunnel at the Stadio Maradona.

According to the Naples-based paper, Massa won’t be suspended by AIA but won’t officiate a Napoli game again this season.

“We feel penalised,” De Laurentiis said, according to Il Mattino.

“There were some obvious errors. Massa had a bad night and we were affected by his decisions.”
