Fulham deny Kean interest, turn to Duvan Zapata

Premier League side Fulham have denied interest in Juventus striker Moise Kean and are instead turning to Atalanta forward Duvan Zapata.

There had been suggestions of Fulham pursuing Kean, who is not necessarily part of the Bianconeri’s plans for the new season now they are using Federico Chiesa as a striker instead of a winger.

Fulham coach Marco Silva denied that in a press conference, so Sevilla now remain the favourites to take Kean off Juve’s hands.

“Kean is not the right solution for us. That is not the player we are looking for,” said Silva.

Meanwhile, Sky Sport Italia and Sky Sports UK claim this afternoon that Fulham have shown concrete interest in signing Duvan Zapata from Atalanta.

The Colombia international was already at the centre of a potential transfer to Roma that collapsed over the last 24 hours, as Atalanta changed their minds over letting him leave.

Fulham need a centre-forward after selling Aleksandar Mitrovic to Al Hilal and therefore have a much larger budget available than the one Roma could work with to convince Atalanta.

Meanwhile, Kean could still be an alternative for Roma, who are already investing in Sardar Azmoun from Bayer Leverkusen.
