Fiorentina are reportedly gearing up to sell defender Igor this summer, attracting serious attention from both Fulham and Leicester City.
The 25-year-old Brazilian centre back has been with the Viola since January 2020, initially joining on loan from SPAL before making a permanent move in the summer of 2021. He’s featured prominently in Florence since his arrival, making 110 appearances across all competitions.
Igor was seemingly at fault for Jarrod Bowen’s winner for West Ham in their Europa Conference League final against Fiorentina. He was openly reprimanded by coach Vincenzo Italiano on the pitch after the full time whistle.
As reported by TMW, Fiorentina are not planning to renew Igor’s contract, making this summer the right time to sell the 25-year-old as his current deal expires in June 2024.
Fulham and Leicester are both aiming to snap up the defender this summer and the former are seemingly leading the race for his signature.
Fiorentina are now probing the market, looking for a replacement for the Brazilian centre back, who played over 3100 minutes of action under Italiano this season.
