Rick Karsdorp was booed by Roma fans when he was subbed off in the second half of a 2-0 loss to Bayer Leverkusen at the Stadio Olimpico and went straight into the tunnel.

Roma defender Karsdorp was booed by his own fans on Thursday during the first leg of the Europa League semifinal against Bayer Leverkusen. A poor backpass from the Dutch defender led to Bayer Leverkusen’s opening goal after just 28 minutes. TNT Sports described Karsdorp’s error in the first half as ‘horrible.’

The former Feyenoord defender further upset Roma supporters in the second half when he didn’t hit the ball inside the box, wasting a promising Giallorossi attack.

Home fans had no mercy and booed the Dutch defender when he was subbed off at minute 62. As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Karsdorp was so frustrated that he didn’t even go on the bench and went straight into the tunnel instead.
